You may not realize it, but being stuck in one position for a long period of time can be dangerous. If you’re on a long flight, spending hours at your desk or taking a cross-country trip, blood can pool in your legs and a clot can occur. It’s important to get out of that position every one to two hours and take a walk or contract your leg muscles. Many of us focus on making that 12-hour car ride exactly 12 hours or less. It’s very important to stop along the way and take breaks…it could very well save your life.
