Losing weight is a lot like climbing a mountain. Don’t put the emphasis on how high you have to climb, but focus on taking the first step. Losing weight in small increments will give you the opportunity to celebrate the small victories in life. If your doctor tells you to lose 50 pounds, don’t set your immediate goal at 50, set the bar low at 3-5 pounds and continue to lose weight at a steady pace. It’s a lot easier to lose 3-5 pounds than it is to lose 50. Always remember, no one can reach the mountaintop in a single bound.
