Emotional health is just important as physical health. A strong life force makes a human being totally alive, alert and present while a weak force results in sluggishness and fatigue. You can increase and develop your chi to overcome illness, become more vibrant and enhance mental capacity. Here are a few simple steps to achieve your Chi…
To properly work on your breathing, it needs to be your sole focus. Choose a quiet setting and use either a chair or a pillow on the floor. If choosing a chair, sit with your back straight, your feet flat on the ground, and knees shoulder width apart. If you choose a pillow on the floor, use either a cross-legged position or kneeling. Again, comfort counts.
Once you are in your comfortable seated position:
Breathe in
Hold your breath for 5 seconds
Breathe out
Hold your breath for 5 seconds
Pay attention to breathing in and out. Make sure you are using your diaphragm, not just your chest. Cycling a lot of air through your body is vital to developing your chi. In time this exercise will become natural. We know that it’s difficult to keep your mind from thinking about anything and everything but for the 5-10 minutes that you practice your breathing, try to just focus on that.
