Once you are clear on your objectives, consider how you will allow your vision to come to fruition. Losing weight is a common new years resolution. You should develop a strategy such as "I will walk Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 30 minutes when I wake up, starting tomorrow." This is a lot better than saying, "I will try to exercise more."
